House of Pilates was founded by Julia Stepien-Griz — a Pilates instructor who first turned to movement for healing during the COVID pandemic.
What began as a personal transformation evolved into a calling.
After becoming a certified personal trainer and completely transforming her body and mindset, Julia spent five years working as a private personal trainer, barre instructor, and mat Pilates instructor. She then expanded into reformer Pilates, teaching in private club settings, after her 500-hour certification, including Colleton River and Palmetto Bluff.
Witnessing firsthand the healing power of Pilates — physically, mentally, and emotionally — inspired her to bring this vision home to Connecticut and share it with her local community.
Her approach blends aesthetic intention with intelligent programming — delivering a flow that leaves you feeling aligned, elevated, and fully embodied in your highest self.
